Practical answers about how booking, pricing, and consultations work on LAWENABLED — not legal advice.
Before your consultation
What should I bring to a first consultation?
Anything relevant and dated: agreements, notices, receipts, correspondence (including WhatsApp/email screenshots), and a short written timeline of what happened. You can attach a summary when you book — it lets the lawyer prepare instead of spending your paid time on the basics.
How is the fee decided?
Each lawyer sets their own fixed fee per consultation length on their profile — you see the exact amount before booking. There's no separate "consultation charge" negotiation; what's listed is what you pay.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
You can cancel it yourself from your confirmation page, any time before the consultation starts — no need to contact anyone. There's no self-service rescheduling yet; cancel and book a new slot instead, or message the lawyer directly from your confirmation page to ask.
During and after
Is a video consultation option available?
Yes — every confirmed booking gets a private video room link on its confirmation page (powered by Jitsi Meet, works in your browser, no app or account needed). You can also still just agree on phone, in person, or another video call if you both prefer.
Will I get notes or a summary afterward?
That depends on the individual lawyer's practice — LAWENABLED doesn't generate consultation summaries itself yet. Ask your lawyer directly if you'd like written notes.
How do I book a follow-up?
Go back to the lawyer's public page and book another slot the same way as the first time — pricing and availability work identically for follow-ups.
Trust & privacy
Is my information confidential?
What you submit when booking (your name, contact details, and the issue summary) goes only to the lawyer you're booking with — it isn't shared with other lawyers or used for anything beyond that booking.
Are lawyer profiles verified?
Not automatically yet — profiles are self-reported, including the bar registration number shown. Formal verification is on the roadmap. Ratings, on the other hand, are live and genuine: a lawyer only shows a rating once real clients have left one after an actual consultation — we'd rather show none than fabricate them.
Does LAWENABLED give legal advice?
No. LAWENABLED is a scheduling and practice-management platform that connects you with a lawyer — it doesn't practice law, and any future AI intake feature will only classify and route your enquiry, never advise on it.
